When we first met Rini, we explained our requirements - absolute musts and nice-to-haves - and also our price range. She gave us a good overview of the different neighborhoods and explained the trade-offs such as schools, commute, location etc.
There are a lot of things we really liked about working with her. First, she is very patient. We took our own time finding a house we liked. We are also not that the kind that bids aggressively and pays hefty premiums, which in this market meant we made multiple offers. Rini never pushed or rushed us. She constantly sent us listings to consider and was always available to visit a house, even at short notice. Second, she is very honest in laying out the pros and cons of any given house. On more than one occasions, she strongly recommended that we not make an offer on a house we liked, because of the drawbacks obvious to her based on her experience.
Finally, and this is what we liked the most, she works really hard for her clients. In our case, she personally presented our offer to the seller. Because of that, even though we weren't the highest bidders, the seller let us counter without making counter-offers to other bidders. Then she also worked hard to send the right, relevant and most recent (including pending sales) comps to the appraiser. Thanks to that, we didn't have any issues with financing.
